Abstract
A 68-year-old male presented with multiple mucosal lesions that developed after switching to a different mouth tape product. The lesions appeared on the lingual side of the left mandibular second molar area. The lesions were surgically excised and histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of mucocele. After surgical removal and discontinuation of mouth tape use, no recurrence was observed during follow-up. This case suggests that adhesive components from mouth tapes can dissolve in saliva and penetrate the oral cavity, potentially causing mucosal lesions, emphasizing the importance of considering mouth taping history when examining oral mucosal lesions in atypical locations.
